Sorry for the mini-break. I mean, I COULD use AI to generate & send emails every day but, what’s the fun in that?!

I like putting this email together the old fashioned way, find articles, have AI create summaries, and share them with you 😬

Speaking of AI…

If you want to be utterly freaked out by how weird/dangerous AI can/will be, then don’t watch this

In short, a streamer, Destiny, noticed that lots of his comments were probably coming from bots, which isn’t uncommon. But when he started digging into the bots, he found that the bots were talking to each other like humans talk to each other. There’s even a “user” that recommends that he check out videos from an “Intelligence Expert”. In the beginning, the experts videos seem unassuming, but, when you look at the videos closer, they're most likely all AI generated videos. And the crescendo moment, Destiny is trying to find more info on this expert on the internet, and there is NOTHING, he can’t find any documents or articles on this very well qualified expert. Well he didn’t find anything, until a “user” showed him a government court case document. Only thing, although the doc came from an official .gov account, the doc was most likely created by an AI. Which would mean… the AI bots were actively watching his stream and chat and was able to create documents in real time to support a fake scenario… I’m confused.

So to recap:

• Streamer gets inundated from AI bots

• Streamer learns that these AI bots chat amongst themselves

• An AI bot recommends a video from an expert

• The video is most likely AI generated

• To prove the videos validity, an AI created fake documents on the fly

AI is cool/terrifying!
