Happy Happy Monday!
Quick hit recap of our weekend.
Parasite on Hulu was worth the hype.
The DJ Premier & RZA battle was cool. The first 30 minutes was like watching your family trying to figure out Zoom, but once it got going, it was cool. RZA won - fight me.
Andrea Bocelli’s Live Concert on Easter Sunday was fucking incredible. Hearing him sing “Amazing Graze” live from the steps of the Duomo Cathedral is what we needed.
And lastly, we rented the new Trolls, World Tour movie & watched it literally 8 times in 48 hours - it’s cute. I think this trend (of releasing theatrical movies at home, for a premium price) is here to stay.
What’d you do this weekend? Exciting? Cool? Mundane? Tell me about it!
See you tomorrow!

I don’t like to normally share things that I KNOW you’ve seen but, this one is important.
Apple and Google partner on COVID-19 contact tracing technology

Here’s the official press release from Apple.
And here’s a layman’s break down from Protocol:
Quick recap on how the system works, in case you had better things to do this weekend than read technical documentation:
If users opt in, they'll be part of an automated contact-tracing system. Their device will use Bluetooth to keep track of which other phones have been nearby. If a person is diagnosed with COVID-19, they'd log into the system and say so — and everyone who's been near them recently would be quickly notified and advised to get tested.
Google and Apple are building APIs into Android and iOS that will enable a lot of the infrastructure for the system, and make sure all phones can share information.
But they're not building the apps — there are apps "from public health authorities" coming in May, one of which the Sunday Times said is Britain's NHS. Others will be able to tap into the APIs later.
All-in-all, I’m for using creative tech to help us tackle this pandemic.

Houseparty, it’s like Zoom, but with games.

So we did this quite a bit this weekend and… IT’S A LOT OF FUN! It’s such a refreshing take on video chatting with someone.

Add, “L.A. Originals” to your Netflix queue

We started watching this last night and oh boy is it good. There’s a part where Cartoon is talking about how they’d go from their office (which is literally on Skid Row), to 5-star hotels in Beverly Hills, like it was nothing.
In short, the documentary tells the story of the rise of Mr. Cartoon & Estevan Oriol. SPOILER ALERT: This shit is SO L.A. and I F’ING LOVE IT!
This office chair by Embraer

Not sure where this is going to fit in our house, but I definitely need it - shit would make me feel like I’m flying an X-wing.
This site wants your help to “Name All The Colors”

If you ever wanted your name in the history books (as a person who named on of the 16.5 million colors they’re trying to name) now’s your chance!
Everyone grows up
SNL went live this weekend - it was weird. It’s been really interesting to see how everyone is trying to translate what worked for them in the past into the something that works in the COVID-era.
Most of it is awkward.
